Green-VoIP with snom“Green IT“ is the hot topic in information technology – not just during the CeBIT. A sustainable and encompassing “green strategy“ does not stop at energy-saving servers, computers, and monitors, but also includes phone communications. With snom VoIP phones you can be certain that you are also conserving energy when making calls! The Research Team for Telecommunications Networks (Forschungsgruppe für Telekommunikationsnetze) at the University of applied science Frankfurt am Main (Fachhochschule Frankfurt/Main) tested the power consumption of VoIP phones produced by seven well-known manufacturers. The unequivocal result in each usage scenario – whether on standby, in call, three-party conference, of standby after call: snom phones have the lowest power consumption in each respective class of phones. With snom phones, enterprises benefit from VoIP technology at its highest level. snom packs multiple features for upscale business telephony into phones that are as innovative as they are functional in design. Simultaneously the use of snom phones contributes to a modern “Green IT” strategy that saves resources and lowers power costs.
